Firstly, this event is legal and above board, specialist legal advice was taken by us before starting it. Spain is very different to the UK and other parts of the EU. We have had to conduct this event a certain way in order to work around and within the law and by doing so have tried to kept the process as simple as possible.
The total money raised will be around 1.9 million - 2 million euros depending upon how many take the 'buy 4 and get one free' ticket offer. There is a maximum os 88,000 tickets available. A large share of the revenue from this event will go to pay the HUGE tax bill. There is also advertising, marketing, man hours etc, so please do not think we are getting ALL of the money! in the end we will only receive around the true value of San Blas.
The Process
1) Buy a 'ticket'. The price is just 25 euros each...... Buy 4 'tickets' and get 1 FREE..... At any time between the day you buy a ticket and the day of the party, your 'ticket' can be exchanged for their equal value towards booking and renting one of the self catering cottages or apartments at San Blas in Velez Rubio, Andalucía. So your ticket is not worthless.
2) All ticket holders will receive update emails on how things are going. You will also receive an email within 48 hours of all 'tickets' being sold. The 'raffle' draw will take place at a special San Blas party on MAY 1st 2009 or before if all the tickets are sold. Notice will be given allowing any of you wishing to attend to make travel plans. Although ticket holders DO NOT have to attend the party or be present for the draw. You can still win San Blas without being at the party!
3) The 'raffle' draw will be overseen by one or two separate and independent Spanish solicitors from Velez Rubio. There will also be a video taken of the 'raffle' draw that will be made available on this website and for anyone to watch within 24 hours of the draw. All persons will be notified of the winning 'raffle' ticket number and winners name within 2 hours of the draw by email.
4) The winner of the raffle and of course the new owner of San Blas will be notified by telephone and then email confirmation within 1 hour of the draw. San Blas will then be transferred legally at a Spanish Notary into the winners name within 30-60 days or so depending upon the speed of the legal process. The winner will not have to pay ANYTHING apart from travel to San Blas to collect the prize! All legal fees, tax etc will be paid for by us. All 7 self catering units come fully furnished and the main owners home comes part furnished.
Of course we can offer advice and guidence to the winner in many matters if required. Any advanced bookings that have been made for the self catering cottages and apartments at San Blas by guests will be passed to the new owner who must honor them. Deposits that have been paid by guests will be passed to the new owner. This is only right and correct for our guests!
UPDATE:- Actual handover of San Blas will not take place until the end of the summer season 2009, this is because of regular guests. The winner has the choice and may move into San Blas before to work with us for the 2009 season, getting to know how things operate etc... this decission is left to the winner.

What If
What if we don't sell all of the tickets? ........ (although we are certain we will)
In the event that we do not sell all of the 'tickets' we will still hold the party and the 'raffle' will take place and have the draw. The winner will receive a guaranteed 250,000 euros MINIMUM depending upon 'the pot' we are holding at the time.
If by MAY 1st 2009 we are near to selling all tickets we will but back the draw by a short time, ticket holders will be informed every step of the way.
All financial affairs of San Blas and owners Wayne & Dave are overseen by accountants 'Fernando Poveda Puertas, Asesoria integral de empresas' in Velez Rubio.
